I've found that usually the most stable relationships are when a woman is one or two notches better looking than their man, but the man is generally successful socially or financially. For example, the woman may be a 9, the man should be around a 7, but compensate with a somewhat better socio-economic position.
Usually when the man is far better looking than a woman in a relationship, that spells trouble because generally the man will find many more physically attractive options and will have a hard time staying loyal. And when a man is far uglier than a woman, typically the woman is just using him for financial support or socio-economic purposes and does not actually feel attraction or physical love for him.
