That's a pretty heavy claim. The Western Media is not any angel either. Just look at their coverage of the Georgian War of the evil Russians attacking Georgia, when in fact it was Saakashvili that attacked first. This was confirmed later by independent assessments.

cnn and bbc are relatively independent from state power and their staff is biased in their own, independent way, based on their personal opinions.
rt is biased heavily in favour of the state.
this is the principal difference.
