What "Soviet aggression" are you talking about? Germany and the Soviet Union partitioned Poland and the Baltic States in the Secret Protocols to the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, in August 1939.

It was a common German-Soviet aggression, not just Soviet.

This is nonsense. That part of Ukraine was in the Russian Empire prior to the Soviet era. Russians and Ukrainians both settled certain areas. It was not Ukraine's decision to become "Soviet Ukraine." Circa 1919-20, Ukrainians fought for independence.

There are certainly ethnic Russian citizens of Ukraine who are involved, but none of this would have been possible without the Kremlin's coordination. There are Russian contract soldiers fighting there now.

You can thumb down my posts but it is not surprising that ethnic Russians in Ukraine don't want to be part of the Ukrainian state. Ukraine is very poor compared to Russia. It is a failed and artificial state. It would be better off if it was split between Poland (Western Ukraine) and Russia (Eastern Ukraine).

It will probably happen within years from now. Lwów will be Polish again:
