Other than Mynydd, no, not in my experience. All the Spaniards that I've encountered in real live have been quite nice.

I think it depends on the area of Spain... in those areas where there are many British expats plaguing the joint, you'd likely get this. Where I'm living, people always assume I'm English. They're not rude to me because of it, not at all, but when I tell them I'm Australian people tend to be surprised and all of a sudden break out into big smiles becoming much more friendly, asking me about Australia, or telling me about relatives or friends they have who've moved to Australia, or telling me about how they've always wanted to visit my country.
Spanish people really are lovely, although more so in the rural areas than in the big cities, I think. That's something that you find in most countries though.
