Default Did Huns contribute to Hungarian ethnogenesis?

What ever happened to the Huns after the death of Atilla. Did they contribute to Hungarian ethnogenesis or were they completely expelled from Pannonia after the death of Atttila? The name of Atilla is very popular among Hungarians and they have statues of him in public places. Count Dracula, who in the book by Bram Stoker was a Hungarian Szekler noble, says he has the blood of Atilla in his veins.

The word Hungarian is an exonym, they call themselves 'Magyars' after the Finno-Ugric tribes that once lived near the Urals before arriving in the Pannonian Basin. There is no connection between Huns and Hungary. Not like you did not know this.

The name Atilla is used among Hungarians because it was ingrained in their psyche that they are Huns because of contact with outsiders that referenced them as "Hungars" for centuries. So they thought they were Huns (or closely related to Huns) based on that myth. This is why they have Atilla as a name and statues of him. They even created a legend based off this myth - the legend states that Magyars (Hungarians) come from Magor and Huns come from Huna, and that Huna and Magor are brothers.

The name Hungary comes from Latin Hungaria. Hungar is the Latinized form of "Onogur". In German, they are called "Ungar". The name Ungar/Hungar comes from the Onogur, who were a bunch of Oghur Turkic tribes that settled in Hungary.

We don't know, but if yes, then not in Europe, but in Western Siberia between the 2nd and the 5th century (the Hunnic interaction with the Sargat culture, what was the Hungarian homeland). Maybe there were Magyars from the Sargat culture between the European Huns after they crossed the Volga and conquered Europe, but the European Huns were not between the ancestors of the Hungarians, or presumably not.

A little. Hungarians are genetically just a tiny bit Mongol. Less than Finns, but more than Indo-European-speaking groups in Europe.

Post-hunnic population, after they lost their power over Europe.

Not really. The further east/south you go, the greater the percentage of Mongoloid blood (generally speaking).
