You're not humble. You're insecure. You're confusing humility with insecurity (or more like you're back peddling to save face but you're tripping). There was nothing in your post that touched on humility (what does scuba diving have to do with humility?) and everything to do with insecurity (you scuba dive, as you say, as therapy against your insecurity). You revealed yourself and now you want to draw back but what is done can not be undone.
It's not like I or anyone else didn't already know you had a poor view of yourself. It's a bit obvious you try to build up your self esteem by being such an 'open and progressive' guy, which to everyone else looks like pandering.
Just as I wasn't fooled, they're not fooled, either. They just don't say anything for the obvious reason that it's great to have a useful idiot on their side.

This made my day. Thanks
I'm not sure which is funnier. The news station reporting this seriously, or the people here taking this news report seriously?

He described his tiny device as being able to blow cool air. Yes, that doesnt make any sense. If he stuck to a device that automatically reported if a car with a baby in it was getting hot, ok sure. But the thermostat/fan/radio combo in such a small package just isnt going to work.
How are you taking this seriously, honestly?
And yes, basic physics does come into play here when he is talking about 'blowing cold air' out of the device. It takes a lot of wattage to power a fan, wall fans actually cause a TON of shorts in homes. To create a portable device like that, he would need a powerful battery to start.
Just read back on my other posts. His need to you know, wire the thing and power it seems to have gone conpletely over your head. I was bringing up the first law to point out how fundamentally unsound his model is. Beyond that, have you ever wired, solderes, etc, anything before? He is not going to be able to create a product with sufficient form and function on that budget, and if he tries to take on the design process himself, he will come up short.
The real joke here though is the news organizations pushing this.
