This is an odd looking Sicilian to me!

What are your thoughts on him? Also, where do you think he could pass?

He has Arabid influence. I think he could pass as a Jordanian, Iraqi, Saudi, and Yemeni to be honest.. although in some pictures he looks more East Med:

I hope not to attract yet more hatred and anger when I say this, but (a) he looks pan-Eastern and (b) compare him to Bollywood actor John Abraham:

I think he looks more Arabian than Indian. He looks like the Caucasoid component in Ethiopians.

How so? Arabians did not set foot in Sicily.

Why the hell did they speak Siculo Arabic? Never heard of the Arab conquest? I'm sick and tired of naysayers... It is ridiculous... DID NOT SET FOOT IN SICILY? Sure... it was mostly Greeks, Berbers, and Anatolians who stepped foot in Sicily that made them look so unique... but there was a true "arab" influence as well... look into it a little.

You don't know what you're talking about. Siculo-Arabic was brought by Arabized Berbers and its modern version, which is Maltese, is very close to Maghrebi arabic dialects, especially Tunisian, which are all spoken by arabized berbers.
No massive wave of Arabian tribes reached Sicily because it was mostly Berbers from nearby Ifriqiya.

Ummm but these "berbers" were not just berbers at the time clearly... they were indeed "berber arabs"

Maltese is Romancified Siculo-Arabic written in Latin form.

They were ethnic Berbers, Arabs only made up the elite. This guy must be a result of Roman era slavery.

Fiorello is one of the least European-looking Sicilians I have seen yet.

The guy looks more MENA than average but doesn't fall outside the spectrum for Sicily.

Ummm but these "berbers" were not just berbers at the time clearly... they were indeed "berber arabs"

They were arabized linguistically. So there is no way anything "arabid" could have come from them.

Sure, it's unique and it took its own independant route, but Maghrebi dialects too have high romance influence in them. That wasn't my point though (which was Siculo-Arabic and Maltese are phylogenetically far away from any Arabian or Middle Eastern dialects/languages inside arabic and relatively closer to the Maghreb ones).
