Davide Van De Sfroos - Akuaduulza

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbDptEftGe0

Lyrics:

Akuaduulza akuaduulza quanta acqua impienìss questi oecc
Acqua negra e senza culpa, acqua santa senza resònn

Translation:

Sweet water, sweet water, so sweet that none wants to drink
Tired water and bloated water, suck the oars and the legs of the kids…
Laundress on the waterside with your board to lean down the knees.
The soap and the robe, rub the clothes and the reflection of the mountains
And this gad wave is a tongue that soaks the words
Tongue that cuts and round tongue, before it's shy and then chuffs everyone...
lèngua che rànza e lèngua redùnda, prema l'è timida e poe sbròfa tucc…

Sweet water, sweet water, too tall to be caressed
Clear water or dirty water, too old to take out its briefs
Under the womb of every bark and over the head of every stone
under the rosary of every memory... but on you no footstep will remain.
Not even the sun that whips the back or the moon that sops down its feet.
Not even the sword of every storm could succeed leaving you a drawing...

Sweet water, sweet water, water that flees and then comes back
Glass water and pearl water, ready for everyone but waiting for none.
We have a face of turtle and we have a face of carpiòn fish*
We have a face that looks yours and we already you without watching you.
Someone flee from the stink of the kelp and then returned to wash his hands
Someone spit on your wave and then returned with a further tear

Sweet water, sweet water, how many water fills this eyes
Black water and without guilt, saint water without a reason
And passes a boat, and passes a winter, and passes a war and pass the fishes
Passes the wind that steals you the cloak and passes the fog that closes up the stars.
You Fisher who leave the shore in the Breva** that bites your clothes
oar standing on this leaf that swings with the song that you never want to end.

*Carpiòn fish: a local dish
**Breva: A wind that blows on Como's lake, useful for the mariners, transport and commerce between the shores of the big lake.

A great XVII century traditional song from Torino...here you can hear the almost disappeared turinès dialect of piemonteis...

It was dedicated to the piemontese (bavarian born) general Karl Sigmund Friedrich Wilhelm Freiherr von Leutrum

Istra looks like nothing italian, it has unique look if its own, besides, dalmatian culture is same as dalmatian zagora which was never touched by italians, but bit more profound/urban, and again it looks like nothing in italia, you jealus piece of shit.

Yeah italians were architects of some curches, they were known world wide from that, and designed churches from england to russia

Before your genocide and brought of colonists from inner Croatia and Bosnia (after the expulsion of 250,000 istriot) it was split half/half (colonial venetians). Now obviosuly is almost totally slav.

1910, yellow the venetians.

if Italians didnt tried to colonize it en mass, maybe it would not happen, you know karma is a bitch.

And there are Italians in Istra, what you are saying is pure lies, indigenus people are croats, istriots, or istrian vlachs are immigrant nomadic group from east balkans, that settled there during ottoman incursions which pushed them westwards.

Another this is that Istra is most multicultural place in Croatia bar none, with most hospitable and tolerant mentality, so its either lies or just pure ignorance

Well, 250,000 people left, so who occupet the empty villages (as Pirano, Pola and Rovigno)? The Smurfs?
Obviously people from other part of the country were brought there to colonize and settle the empty cities.

Numbers of today venetian-istriot is not even comparable to the pre-war one:

...and as far i know, pure istriot language is almost disappeared, as istro-romanian.

Nope.
In 1910 (the map) there weren't any south italian colonist. They were venetians (the so famous ''mlecani''...).
Fascist colonization happened only between 1925 and 1943.

I see that the propaganda by your great leared Josip Broz is still vigorous.

they still werent majority, guys who were expelled were mostly colonists, who BTW weren't that popular with italian istrians either, lets just say we liberated our western brothas :D

If you claim Istra as italian because it was for a time a part of Venetian, then why just stop then, go on with claming greece, cyprus...etc

What fucked up Venice was Napoleon, and them joining in italian state, as well as they lost all power they had, so we weren't particularly keen of being Dodge bodyguards any more

Not at all...al the ''istriot exiles'' i know have surnames like Krancic, Matiacic, Furlan, Pavan, Kocijan*, etc.
I suspect also that some of the istrian exiles were just anticommunist slavs.

*this surnames is even present in my family tree.

Prinsi Raimônd, also known as ''L'anej'' (the ring) a medieval song from Piemont, my region...it talk about the prince Raymond du Savoye, who went to the Crusades and left in Piemont his wife, the duchess Gertrud du Valois....during his absence, his ''evil cousin'', the Prince of Lyon, tried to insidiate the duchess with a false new about the prince's infidelity, and created a false ring for the duchess...

Ladins from Veneto speaking and singing. Their language is very understandable for speakers of North-Eastern Italian dialects, probably even to Italian speakers it is not harder to understand than some Northern Italian dialects, especially the harsher ones of eastern Lombardy.
