This is the difference to the Apulians. Overall they look similar but in none of those would some of them catch you off guard.

I wish I had the Palermitan ones. About half of them had blue eyes and were light. On pigmentation maps, Ragusa is one of the darker areas.

They don't look un-European to me. To me they look stereotypical South Euro.
