As good as this blog is sometimes, much of what he says is full of ethnocentric points of view, cliches and stereotypes, such as this article about homosexuality in Peru. On the one hand (as he acknowledges himself in another post) sexual mores are, if anything, MORE permissive in Spanish-speaking countries than in more puritanical English-speaking ones; on the other hand, the US itself is, by Western standards, very anti-gay, what with its Christian Fundamentalists everywhere. http://www.expat-chronicles.com/2008/08/homosexuality-peru/
