She is not Alwaite, she is probably of Kurdish origins as that surname is Kurdish, there some Iraqi Kurds with her surname and so I would not doubt that she is of Kurdish origins. Some Kurds can look quite European like her.

Goranis don't identify as Bulgarian. Their dialect is most similar to other Macos but them being Muslim keeps them separate.

True, they never did identify as such either but neither did a lot of other Bulgarians until Bulgaria was created. They called their language Nash jazik, I had quite a bit of contact with them and the Serbs of Kosova and both groups do see each other as different. I guess in internet everything is possible.....

Some Kosovo Serbs even regard them as Albanians. But yes we view ourself as different ethnic groups now. Just curiosity, I hear you bring this up "Nash jazik" for Bulgarian. It just means our language, why do you equate it with Bulgarian?

Because their dialect is Bulgarian it it is identified as such, now you are a lot closer to Croats then Goranis. I talked about this before too, that quite a bit of the old Kosova Slavs were of this kind. Now days they are separated in crowd of who they cheer, but their traditions and language say otherwise.
