For the record, people from this part of the Peloponnese have some Sicilian ancestry. When Slavs were expelled, Greeks from Calabria and Sicily were brought to replace them.

It could be. I know that the southern Peloponnese has the least foreign influence because Slavs were expelled from there in the Middle Ages and replaced with Sicilians, Cretans, and Calabrese.
