To be honest years ago when I didn't know about that anthrostuff I always thought of him being fully European descendant. He looks octoroon/quadroon. I think he could pass superficially in Europe. I doubt the average everyman is going to spot the negroid traits in him.

He can pass superficially yes to the eye of the common people, no doubt.

To me it's actually the opposite. As a kid I always thought of him as black but later noticed he's kinda white. Anyway as seems to be with most swarthycs he get's whiter* looking with age.
