Wouldn't that conflict with a pre-treaty of Trianon Hungary?

Thread is about Slovenia, and it's in the Slovene section.

Hmmm a rather complicated issue.. There are some very important Slovene territories which are in foreign hands nowadays, and well, the one with paramount importance is Carinthia. For an average Slovene it's very hard to forget Carinthia as it's the 'craddle' of Slovenian national identity; it even goes beyond that - it holds many important manuscripts and monuments, nonetheless it epithomises Slovenian romantic nationalism (Being the successor, together with the duchy of Carniola, of the Carantanian princedom).

As for the rest, well I always kept saying the smaller the country, the stronger the irredentist movement, however not souring your relations with the neighbours is a wiser course of action.

A fact that ought be mentioned is that parts of Slovenian Primorska are technically more Italian than Slovenian, therefore Italy is somewhat of a more rightful owner, however the same applies to a handful of Italian territories like Val Resia which are 100% Slovene.
