Well they were never a united Welsh polity, but yes, Cumbria has old Welsh speakers until the 12 or 1300s. If Scotland were to become independent, my area would be Britain's highest highlands :)

I'm at the very top of the state getting closer to the mountains... and at around 1000 feet elevation! We get snow all the time! We had flurries this morning... Usually it does not stick though... when it does it is awesome though!

lol those flats are right next to the country. that's what you see in the foreground with the park. beyond that it's about 4-5 miles of scenic bliss. It's no ghetto. It doesn't resemble a ghetto in any way.

Beautiful. I bet its a lot of money and something I currently could not afford. I am in debt to school loans. I would love to default on them and not pay them back but that would be impossible and more than likely travel with me here ever I go. If I was wealthy I would move to such a place.

I'm 32. When I lived in Oregon I helped to manage/run a small local business. Before that I worked in sales/marketing in California for some pretty big corporations but had to stop and chance things because of some medical reasons.

I didn't like the work very much but it was a nice house and pretty nice area but lots of rednecks and tweakers in Oregon.

I don't live in a place as large now but it's a pretty nice flat. It's modern anyways which is a nice thing to have in cold Europe. Many buildings are old.

If you want a nice place to live you need to be able to sell yourself to a good landlord. Not all charge a fortune to live in a nice home.
