Tap Air Portugal was named “Best Airline in Europe” by the Travel Global Magazine, according to results from its 10th GT Reader Survey. Tap Air Portugal was awarded the same honor in 2011.
Based in the United States, Global Traveler conducts its “GT Tested Reader Survey” annually asking frequent business and luxury travelers to name the world’s best in 17 travel-related categories.
For the 2013 survey, more than 22,000 people responded. The survey was conducted from January 1, 2013, to August 31, 2013. The award ceremony will be held on December 10, in Los Angeles.
Established in 2004, over the past ten years, Global Traveler’s consistent, unbiased reporting has placed the GT Tested Reader Survey among the most highly regarded in the industry.
In 2011, the JACDEC Airliner Safety Report rated TAP Air Portugal Western Europe’s safest airline and the fourth world’s safest after Qantas, Air New Zealand, and Finnair.
TAP Air Portugal is Portugal’s national flag carrier, operating in the United States from Newark and Miami.
