Taking cue from Thorum...

This is for anybody, but the analysis is about Americans and Canadians.

On my father's side, my great-grandfather's paternal uncle went to WA and there are descendents there today. That's the only line I have studied out there, but I know two cousins without the same surname were imperial viceroys of India: Halifax and Ripon. (I know, off topic...)

I don't take that seriously. Maybe Gypsies are everywhere, though, so I wouldn't rule it out.

My aunt, who was born in the United States, married a gentleman originally from Italy. They moved to Australia when he had a job promotion in his language career. He taught numerous people who were in Australia and spoke Italian how to speak the English language.

Any Americans and Canadians have known relatives in Australia and New Zealand? Vice versa?

Yes. Great grandfather was illegitimate so his mother left to NZ and remarried there and now there's a lot of relatives in Australia and NZ. He was raised in a bar.

Once again, this thread is about family relations between North American and Australasian Anglophones.
