Some were German, Dutch, French-Huguenot, Scotch Irish [lowland Scots], its more of a cultural reference than genetic. Although in the late 1800s and early 1900s the classification for WASP nations was people of Northern German heritage, Dutch, British, Irish [non Catholic], Scandinavian [except Finns] and Northern Italians. Everyone else was considered non WASP and not welcomed.

They did accept Protestants and consider Catholics to be lower than African Americans [Aframs were and still are mostly Protestants].

Yep, I heard from my Grandpa that when Irish people first arrived in US, they're considered to be inferior by WASP, simply because of their catholic faith.

These guys look mostly southern euro... but the little outside influences throw them east... some could fit in the Balkans but in a pseudo way. LOL! Umm... Mostly they look like med + west euro mixes, I guess from spanish and sometimes Italian mixed in... and many times MENA.
