No there isn't and there never was an ''italian'' ethnic group.
Different ethnic origins. Greek-italic with minor mideast and norman input in the south, galloromance with etruscan and minor germanic imput in the north.

I assume by Yogoslav you mean Balkan. I have seen beautiful on both sides. Judging by pictures online I would have to take it on a case by cases basis since I have never been to any of those places.
