Was he the greatest martial artist who ever lived? I think so. Chuck Norris was once asked who would win between him and Bruce. He said, of course Bruce Lee. No-one could beat him. And this coming from the world karate champion.

There is a statue of him in Bosnia, and I have heard that Macedonia will built one as well. Used to watch his movies religiously when young.

He never said such thing :). Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee were friends and they respected each other very much. Here is an old article about the issue written by Chuck himself, indeed a classy dude:

They once had to slow down a fighting scene in a movie that he did because it was too fast :D
