Which seems to suggest Sephardic Jewish , or Sephardic/Spanish for your father.

But it could also be, looking at the scatter plots, that there is Greek

mixed in there. I have no Greek comparison panel. If Gedmatch Dodecad Oracle is HIGHLY

suggestive of Greek I would believe this more.

Did Doug changed his system dramatically or is it possible with the lack of data from the X-chromosome that the results are somewhat different now.
The strangest thing is that when I upload my raw data from FTDNA into Gedmatch the results are 100 % identical, only I have to add that that is build 36 instead of build 37.
What are your thoughts about this?

Interesting :)

How do you get McDonald to do your genome?

Alessio

Simple, I've just send my new raw data from FTDNA..

Interesting :)

How do you get McDonald to do your genome?

Just send him an e-mail request (mcdonald@scs.uiuc.edu) and your 23andMe or Ftdna raw autosomal data.

He's supposedly busy with all the requests these days, but said he gives priority to people with multiple sources of ancestry.

Looks as though he finally learned to use punctuation and a spell checker :thumb001:

I read that he stopped doing Europeans but maybe that's not the case anymore.

Sicily sounds like it fits (possibly, maybe, Calabria too). There are vast

quantities of ethnic Sephardic Jews in Sicily. However, if it were

all strongly non-Sephardic Sicilians then my system would have had

lots of entries with “Sicily”. But actual people who immigrated from Sicily ... for sure yes.

But it could be plain Sephardic if you don’t know otherwise.

Doug McDonald

I'm not Jewish by the way, but it's funny how he thought the first time that the second one was the best fit and now comes up with something totally different and more Southern.
