To be honest, they resemble Negroes a lot. Something like soft-faced chimps...

All captive chimps today are a combination of Western (Pan troglodytes verus) and Eastern ((Pan troglodytes schweinfurthii). Some curators are working towards cleaning that up, though I don't know how they will given that you need an SSP recommendation to mate any two individuals and I don't think they care much about it yet.

To be honest one of the pictures above is half Chimp and therefore not fully Bonobo... It's a shame given the declining number of Bonobos in the wild that we may lose them in their pure form due to lack of interest.

Well, bonobos are a subspecies of chimpanzees. No AZA zoo would mate the two species nowadays. I'm sure they have in the past though. I know of one notable institution in the U.S. that doesn't monitor their breeding and have inbred, crazy chimps. Not sure where you'd get a half bonobo/half chimp here. In any case, which species do you think we're closest to? Bonobos or chimpanzees? Some think it's neither; that we're closest to orangutans.

Also, disturbing fact: in 1.5 chimp generations, there will be no more wild chimpanzees. Sad, no?

Given Bonobos over Chimps its Bonobos darling a few of us being an exception of course being a bit more evolved than 95% of humanity.
