Hi guys, I wonder what phenotype I have. I'm a swede, having 100% swedish parents with a little bit of danish history on my mothers side (some 100 years ago).
Also it is said my father has a flamish history on his side (also a couple of hundred years ago), which almost all swedes say they have, allthough only a couple of tousend central-europeans stayed permanently during that time (1600 and 1700s if I'm not wrong).

From the little research I have done, people have said sub-nordid and borreby which could be true since my head is not very large.
Anyways, here are my pics!

la vita e bella: Yeh, I sure possibly have CM traits, but the "front" picture is probably showing those traits a bit too much.
Mazik: Man tackar, folkfrände! :D

Im adding another frontal picture to see if it gives any other r43636esults.

Your head shape alone looks Borreby, but facial features are leaning into different direction.

Borreby + East Baltid.

Who told you this? Because there's absolutely no way that a population of a modest thousand Walloons could influence a population of millions to the point that "almost all Swedes" share this ancestry. I'm puzzles me that anyone could come to this conclusion
Other than that, welcome to the forum.

I wouldn't be surprised if many Swedes exaggerated their flamish ancestry a little bit, because it might be a bit cool. Kinda like white Americans always say they have native American ancestry.

I think he's nordeby + putinoid influence.

My father himself told me that, and I'm very sceptical myself. As I said, a lot of swedes claim they have Walloon heritage but since there were only
a couple of thousand it's not likely that all the swedes claiming to have this ancestrery actually have it.
Tackar för välkomnandet ;)

Maybe it's something that Swedish Americans do? Because I know/have met a lot of Swedes over the years and only one of them have ever talked about having such ancestry. This person also has a Walloon surname.

I honestly don't know. Most Swedes that I've met have a Finnish grand father or something :P

So, can I conclude that I have Borreby with CM traits?

Nordic + East Baltic. Incipiently Mongoloid type

In the first picture you can see that he is obviously not brachycephlic so there has to be a regular Nordic component, not just Baltic/Borreby.

Would a 23andme genetic test reveal traces of monogoloid admixture?

I guess your reply got influenced by looks of some Russians, though I think what you have seen was Finnish influence in Nordic.

Just sayin'.

@Hanen

Here is an unusual question.

Did you suck your thumb until late age?

I ask because not rarely consequences of this are protruding middle face and a receding chin.

Haha no but my sister used the pacifier for quite a long time.
Weird but interesting study, I think it's more genetic, both my parents have small chins.

Borreby+some reduced CM type(Baltid I'd say)+Nordid.
