View Full Version : Mysterious african genes in my DNA..

I remain very skeptical about the so called "west african" genes of my sixth chromosome. the "speculative view" of 23andMe place me in Congo without any scientific explanations.
Is it possible to have a list of some of this "genes" to look at their characteristics and frequency among human populations? What mysterious genes of my DNA have a huge frequency in Senegal and are completely absent among swedish, polish or czech peoples?
Do you have any information about? My so called "SSA genes" are located on the sixth chromosome.

or a trace from the past would be random.

It probably came from the Neolithic framers or the Moors

Probably Moron blood, I heard Morons mixed with Italians under the Islamic siege.

Probably noise, or a bit of very distant ancestry that was from somewhere SSA admixed (like North Africa), but probably noise.

Well it might be possible, back when Saracens invaded Italian peninsula, some of them mixed with Italians, some of them even lived along with Italians. That might be the problem?

my celto-roman ancestors party-hard with some afroarabian sweets..
perfect for a porn plot.
anyway i'd love to know more about this exhotic "genes" and what type of influence they have on my mind or my methabolism or other stuff.

It's not noise. People in this forum think everything is noise because they don't want to face the truth.

Southern Europeans like Northern Italians and Iberians often exaggerate their Celtic heritage... Funny because French people just don't care about the Celts.

Your African ancestry is not exotic at all for Southern Europe by the way. You probably got some distant Saracen ancestry. Or maybe it's the remaining of North African migrants during the Roman Empire.
It could also be Near Eastern ancestry but it's less likely.

Non hai molti geni africani, quindi non contribuisce assolutamente nulla nel tuo fisico, o il tuo metabolismo.

I've never written it's noise
I just want a list of some of my so called "nigerian" genes. I know there are millions of genes in our DNA. just some of them
Is it possible?
YES or NO?

Scientists don't know the role of 99.9% of our genes so it's impossible to answer your question.

Send your raw data to Doug McDonald, say you suspect African ancestry and he'll give you some analysis to digest.

By the way, if it can make you feel better, Sardinians are one of the most West Eurasian people out there and are more African than you are.

Saracens never invadet the ''italian peninsula'' as whole, they occuped some islands (Sicily and Malta) and few coastal cities in the deep South.
Unlike the balkans as whole that were under ozmans for centuries.

You wrote ''italian peninsula'', and since 3/4 of the readers of this board are ignorant americans or retarded maghrebi or mideasterns (which claim to be iberian, italians or french), i think it's better to specify the right thing.

Here the ''italian penisula'' as whole entity, with the maximum moorish teritories in orange:

maybe I don't understand the genetic genealogy.
example: if they find in my DNA the sickle-cell anaemia gene and they know this gene is very widespread in nigeria and far less in other parts of the world will they consider this gene a sub saharan african element of my ancestry?
It's just an example. I don't know anything about sickle-cell anaemia. Just to understand.
