If you could only have one of these and only these two ultra popular food options, which would you choose?

btw, taco bell and panda express can be included in these catagories

Neither, really.....but if forced to choose I think healthier and tastier options can be had with Chinese cuisine.

Panda Express actually uses healthier cooking techniques than a lot of Chinese restaurants. Fresh ingredients, too. Stay away from their deep fried entrees, though :)

Taco Bell and Panda Express both have their own style and character and are okay in a pinch, but can never compare to the real thing.

Anyway, I like both Chinese and Mexican food equally depending upon my mood.

I like both on occasions, but if I could only select one.... then I'd choose Chinese (for the variety of flavours, dish choices, and healthiness.)

I know western 'Chinese' takeaways aren't quite the same as authentic Chinese cuisines, and people still need to be careful of dishes that are deeply fried or contain batter in them. Chinese green vegetables are healthy though with lemon chicken or pineapple, or ginger chicken, garnished with cashew nuts, and served with steamed brown rice. I also like Chinese vegetable soups and herbal teas.

Mexican is also nice - the milder dishes, but some of the dishes are too hot and spicy for me to be able to manage to eat that type of food everyday without having stomach pains. (I've got a delicate stomach when it comes to hot food with chilli.)

Americanized versions of both are good, I don't care for the authentic type of either one.

Mexican food is a favorite. I doubt many on TA have had really good, authentic, non-Taco Bell Mexican food

Real Chinese food is (VERY) different as real Mexican food is different (but not that much). So, I would say Mexican (less alien).

Now, if we are doing a "Chinese food box" x "Taco Bell" thing, Chinese.

The only mexican things I've ever eaten were taco and burrito. And chinese food I ate only their pastas and Kung Pao.

For me it depends on where the Chinese or Mexican food comes from and how it's made. And sometimes I feel more like one than the other.
