I get interesting results on Eurogenes. The distances are less the more mixed my prediction is. But Ancestry DNA says 81 percent British Isles! I am quite certain that they do not differentiate between Saxon and Celtic stock.. Eurogenes on the other hand does. (Also when will K15 be compatible with Ancestry DNA kits? I just noticed that it says not designed for Ancestry DNA..)

No doubt comes from my mother's side. My father's side is very "Nordic" phenotype. My mother's side on HER mother's side is where I get the Basque-type DNA. I am quite certain that her family is predominantly West Brit derived.

Thanks! Ancestry DNA decided to throw in Italian/Greek rather than Iberian but I imagine that DNA so ancient is not so easily categorized. Eurogenes is far more capable of labeling ancient DNA. Physically I favor bother sides of my family:

I would say some "pre-Celtic" Neolithic-type elements in the British Isles are similar to Basque.

My German ancestry comes from northern Germany and Prussia actually. I believe that only one of the four German lines in my family comes from Western Germany. I am honestly not sure how much Anglo-Saxon I inherited to be honest. I just know that I took largely after my mother on a DNA level but the funny thing is that I resemble my father a lot except for my smaller physical build and short height. I am only 5'7". My mother's brothers are both about my height. But both of -my- brothers are taller than I am.

Sounds a lot like my ancestry to be honest except that I also have German lines. But telling the Saxon from the German would be nearly impossible since most of my German ancestry is northern. Large overlap there if I understand correctly.
