Have some of you managed to do that? :)

I found out that my father got mtdna V, just like me, by finding a person that matched his maternal line who was tested with ftdna :)

Not long ago it was found out that the noble Bure family (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bure_kinship) of northern Sweden got Y-DNA G2a, so I can add a couple of lines in my family who are G2a as well. Since people descending from that medieval family pops up a little bit everywhere in my family tree. I've also found another R1a1a-line, since the oldest known person on that man's Y-line is also found among my ancestors :)

In the future I hope that I can fill out my whole family tree with Y-DNA and mtDna on every line :D

Females can't test their Y-DNA though :)

I've found out that paternal lineage of my mom's father is likely to be R1b-U106 L48+(cousin was tested) if there were no false paternity events inbetween their common male ancestor.
