It's not only extremely beautiful but also a lot of fun during the summer!

I went there and it was full of Brits, Irish, Aussies, Kiwis, Americans and Canadians.

It's not as fun as Dubrovnik or Hvar of course, but it's really worth going.

Honestly, I don't know how you can generalize like that.
First of all, there is no such thing as Balkan culture, mentality or similar. The Balkans is just unclear geopolitical term. This part of Europe that you consider "Balkans" is territory with different nations, countries and elements of culture in it. And this forum is place with different people. Many of them have a very strong national identity. Some of them are brainwashed with propaganda from childhood which shaped their behavior and attitude. Some of them are people with lack of any manners or moral code. It is matter of their personality, not characteristic connected with geographical origin.
If you connect Balkans with hate, then the most "Balkanic" behaviour on this forum is behaviour of persons who spit the most hatred on Balkans and Serbs.
Personally, I don't hate anyone in this world. Foreigners who are really familiar with Serbs describe us as very friendly, hospitable and warm people. Sometimes we described that mentality as "Slavic soul", but now I really think it is OUR soul. What do you actually know about us? It seems you have severe prejudices and totally baseless arrogance/superiority complex.

Nothing to be ashamed of. Read what Italian journalist Paolo Rumiz wrote about Slovenes:

"We are speaking about incredible people. They are more stubborn than Germans, more mysterious than Finns, prouder than Magyars and greater perfectionists than Swiss".

Living closer to Ljubljana (Slovene capital) than Zagreb (Croatian capital) they are very familiar to me.
My personal attitude towards Slovenes is neutral to reserved, because our countries are not in best relations neither very friendly.

Slovenes are rather special Slavs, most Westernized, individualist of them all, even more so than Czechs in my opinion. They are isolated mountain people between Italians, Austrians and Hungarians and only Slavs bordering them are Croats, which are quite different people with different historical experiences.

Slovenes are Caranthanian Slavs, today South Slavs but with lot of West Slavic influences (even linguisticaly), they were part of Holy Roman Empire and inner Austria so we did not have that much contact with them as one may expect.

Country is small but beautiful, quality always tops quantity and Slovenia is by far one of more quality Slavic countries to live in and visit. Population is educated, quiet, speaks several foreign languages and not much different than any Western Europeans, yet they preserved their uniqueness and folklore.

As person who doesnt really favor Slovenia I can tell you they are respectable and cultured people worth to know more about.

Slovenes weren't the only one responsible for that. Yugoslav Partisans included few Slovenes members compared to other countries from Ex-Yugoslavia. I think Italians could also hate them for the stolen lands.

We don't have to, but tribalistic mentality is our evolutionary heritage. It is no less 'real' than the elementary rules of human morality, such as 'genocide is bad'.
