Unless its a Filipino who has significant Chinese blood, the difference between a Korean and Filipino are night and day. Koreans are usually pale skinned, small eyes, very typical East Asian features. While Filipinos are much darker skinned, flatter wider noses (though not always), and usually have big eyes. Many can have a very polynesian look, but its typical of the Malay racial types.

I am pretty sure the left two are ethnic Chinese from the Philippines (come on, they even list the speaking girl's name as Kryztal Uy, a Chinese last name based on the Fujian dialect, she is 100% Chinese and I am sure the light skinned friend is too), they are about 5% of the population and dominate the economy, or they can be Filipinos with significant Chinese blood. Sorry, none of those Koreans can pass as Filipinos, you obviously cannot recognize Asian phenotypes. More Filipinos can pass as East Asian (because of the presence of 100% ethnic Chinese in the Philippines, or Filipinos with significant Chinese admixture), but few East Asians can pass for Filipinos, though I've seen some Southern Chinese from the deep Southern provinces that probably could.

If you spot Filipinos with last names such as Lee, Uy, Tan, or bastardized names such as Cojuangco, Chongco, etc, these are all ethnic Chinese.

Throughout SE Asia whether it is Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand or Cambodia, if you go to the rich areas, they are all ethnic Chinese, or the vast majority of the rich are, thats why they look so different than the rest of the population, much more pale skinned, much more East Asian. The ethnic Chinese are just very entrepreneurial so they control and dominate the economy. You're right 1% is nothing, but don't you think it's completely different to say "only 3.6% of Filipinos have any European blood" vs "80% of Filipinos have European blood, usually 1-2% on average" Those are very different. The 3.6% figure is the percent of Filipinos who are more than 1/3rd European, according to the 60 Filipino ancestry compositions I've seen

I've also looked at a lot of Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Thai and other ancestry compositions are they average maybe 0.1- 0.2% European on 23andme.
