I am very proud of these Spanish series because unlike the current ones, were very educational series, promoting respect, ethics and values.
I think it were quite famous outside Spain. Above all these:
-The World of David the Gnome
-Around the World with Willy Fog
-Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds

Really? because The World of David the Gnome is based on the children's book The Secret Book of Gnomes, by the Dutch author Wil Huygen and illustrator Rien Poortvliet...

You really inspired to me with that thread you made asking how many Blacks are in Spanish television and cinema. Then I remembered these series.

I've only seen David the Gnome. They used to play it on Nickelodeon during the day. I watched it during the summer and on the days I stayed home sick. David was voiced by Tom Bosley the dad from Happy Days. (Which I watched on Nick at Night :p ) I think that's the only reason I watched David the Gnome, his voice was familiar to me. It was a very slow show but I guess as a child I did somewhat appreciate the calmness of it.

In the English version, Tico was Italian instead of Andalusian. :tongue
