That's not technically a 'Confederate' flag. That's the battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia under General Lee. Just a FYI.

The celtic cross is just a ripoff of the much more ancient sun cross anyway that has nothing to do with christianity and has been found all over Europe. I think it fits rather well in this time of need and hardships that the Ukrainians are facing.
The confederate flag on the other hand, I don't understand why anyone, espiecially in Europe would want to use that ugly flag. :puke

The celtic sunwheel and st andrews cross are different. It's not the same symbol Armenian Bishop. St andrews cross is the national flag of Scotland and it's typical of other European flags while the celtic sunwheel is an ancient symbol that has been adopted by white nationalists.

Thank You for clarifying the difference between The Saint Andrew Cross and The Celtic Cross. It confused me, because I thought that people here identified the Confederate Battle Flag as derived from the Celtic Cross. The Confederate Flag is derived from the Saint Andrews Cross, not the Celtic Cross. I've seen the Celtic Cross a number of times, I know about it, but couldn't quite place it.

I'm a Civil War Buff, and a Historian, I probably know more about the Confederate Battle Flag than do most of the members here at The Apricity. Many brave Confederates died for the Confederate Flag, during the American Civil War. It's wrong to overemphasize its KKK legacy of racism, without also giving credit to the courage and valor of Confederates who fought and died for it.
