"Fat/Stretchy Cheeks" or better described as a "Full face"

Anybody else have them? I get them from both my mother and my father. It seems that it is most common in Cro-Magnoid(in European populations) types(my mother is Bruenn/Alpinid and my father Alpinid/Atlanto-Med). Anyway, what caused them? Why is it useful to have fat cheeks or a full face? Is it a side effect of a certain diet or just a useless trait from ancient times. Also I'm not talking about having a wide bizygomatic but more of a "fatter" face.

Me 'smiling' wide. Yeah I know, I have a 'jewish joker' smile or so I call it. :D

If I had to guess, Its a cold-adapted trait that makes you look heavier - and thus healthier - in cold climates.

If I had to guess, Its a cold-adapted trait that makes you look heavier - and thus healthier - in cold climates.

It is fairly common in small, gracile and more infantile racial forms, even as much or more so than in cold adapted.

As you can see in comparisons of child pictures vs. adult ones, it is a rather infantile to juvenile trait - some lose more of that baby fat than others and in general, more of it being left in females.

In females in particular it can be a signal for fertility, health, youth and a good nutritional status.

The most attractive females are usually those in their late teens to early tweens. At that age they are more often both slim, as well as curvy and full - in their body and face.

Most women lose that by getting fat or gaunt. That a woman can keep that "slim but full" status into her 40's is a true exception.

And those cheeks can be part of that and in females they are visible even in the very progressive-neotenic racial types, especially those young women which have an "close to optimal status".
