How likely is it to be 1/16 French, and the rest Inuit but look white?

I know a guy who claims to be all Inuit, with no relatives who look white except for one French-Canadian great great grandparent.
He could pass as fully French or even British.

Might he be lying? Adopted? Or just not know he has more European ancestry and that his relatives all are probably not full natives, but mixed multigenerationally?

It's like with african americans. Since they are generally 20-40% european anyway, you could get one coming out very european with just one full euro in the mix, or not european at all. Most likely his inuit relatives are all pretty euro-mixed to start with.

Nope. He said all his sisters, brothers, both parents, and grandparents look Native American.

He claims he DNA tested and is only 6% European though. I doubt it very much.

Eskimo influences are visible, esp in the middle of the face, but he looks overwhelmingly white

As it turns out he simply has a lot of relatives who are slightly Amerindian but identify solely as such, so the Amerindian is low. He is a mixture of French Canadian, British, and First Nations in a minor, non-visible amount.
