Is this due to a shared genetic history (Phoenicians and Israelites, Arabs and Jews etc) or are some "crypto-Jews" or Israelite descendants like many Palestinians?

Not many, but yes you can find some, that are. Armenoid forms are not so common in Lebanon. Though I suspect it was more common in antiquity in that area. You can see that in Samaritans and Galilee Druze.
