Classify German Musician - Oliver Riedel

I wondered if anybody could classify Oliver Riedel the bass player from the German band Rammstein, He's 6ft 6, 84Kg with Dark Brown Hair and Darkish Eyes (Look Black).

Surname sounds Swabian. They seem like they're more often than not dark eyed.

I have just been looking around a few pages and i found a website (seemed trustworthy) that said Riedel has Polish, Danish and Italian roots. Not sure if that helps
