Umm according to Gallup

% that says "religion is important to me"

More than 30%
URUGUAY 33%

More than 60%
ARGENTINA 66%
CHILE 69%

More than 70%
MEXICO 72%
VENEZUELA 79%
COSTA RICA 79%

More than 80%
ECUADOR 82%
COLOMBIA 82%
EL SALVADOR 83%
PERU 83%
NICARAGUA 84%
HONDURAS 84%
PUERTO RICO 84%
DOM. REP. 86%
BRAZIL 86%
PANAMA 88%
GUATEMALA 88%
BOLIVIA 88%
PARAGUAY 91%

---

So, I guess the most Catholic/religious countries are:

Paraguay, Bolivia, Guatemala and Panama, which is two from South America and two from Central America.

The least Catholic/religious countries would be:

Uruguay, Argentina and Chile, all from South America.

The most Catholic region of Latin America is "El Bajio" West-Central Mexico.

Some areas are over 98.5% Catholic. It says it's probably the most Catholic region of the world.

The region produces around 85-90% of Mexico's priest.Over 90% of the Mexican saint's are from this region.

3 of my cousins studied to be priest but instead ended up being Lawyers.I have a cousin who is a nun. My family is from this Conservative Catholic region.

Brazil used to be mostly Catholic, now it is full of Evangelicals. But belief in God is widespread in Brazil, and its socially accepted to judge people who do now belive in God as if they were Devils
