Devout Christians George and Lina Tannous noticed the cascading oil in October 2006 – a month after 17-year-old Mike died.
Since then their bungalow in the suburbs of Sydney has become a shrine attracting up to 100 visitors a day.
The family claims the fluid, which is a mixture of water, gold and uranium, is responsible for six miracles and has cured a cancer sufferer.
Mr Tannous says a photo of his son started ‘crying’ just a few days ago. ‘At this time of year, it is a Christmas miracle,’ the 50-year-old said.
‘My son’s spirit is in this house.’ The family plans to send some oil to the Pope in the hope he will canonize Mike.
