My grandmother passes as white although some of her cousins look straight up mixed as did her grandmother. It happens. My grandfather knew she had African ancestry though and didn't care.

No mixed children resulted, and now we're all effectively white, with single digits African ancestry.

What? This makes no sense. It's the black ancestry being bred out, not the white. Take someone like my mother.. the black ancestry is bred out of her more or less, even though you see it in family photos. She's a white woman. If this girl has children with a white man and so do those children, everyone's effectively white.

No, with blacks, there's the 1 drop rule. 1 drop of black blood and you're black. With whites, it's the exact opposite. 1 drop of non-white blood and you're no longer white.
