No she does not look Italian, she looks mostly South Asian with maybe some distant European Portuguese in her case ancestry. Funny they are casting her as Italian. I heard she did not make it in Bollywood because she was to dark, and now she is being casted as Italian it's funny truth be told.

Beautiful actress. But Italian? Lol. She looks clearly South Asian. However, if it's Hollywood and the primary audience is America, we all know that Med roles are going to be played by any non-black who looks tanned and dark-haired. If the person clearly looks South Asian or Amerind, it doesn't really matter, because the Med type is known to be extraflexible in its range.

Not always Hollywood is to blame for that, though. I recently watched French Jean-Jacques Annaud's Day of the Falcon, with an Arab producer, and there Antonio Banderas was Freida Pinto's father, LOL, both supposed to be Arabs. :rolleyes: Long live the Portugal-to-India one race, there must be more followers of Coon out there than one would believe.
