Lately, nothing in the news. I guess Bashar is slowly but surely crushing the jihadis.

Even Crimea doesn't make the news headlines anymore. No-one is going to take Crimea from Russia now.

Syria and Ukraine - 2 failed western projects. Doesn't look good for them, so they're falling off the news radar....

Exactly. The great Satan engages in this filthy media war, posing half-truths, altered perspectives. The struggle to freedom has not ended. Cockroach carcasses are eviscerated into plant fertilizer by the dozens daily. The people is suffering but is strong enough to withhold the resistance. Death to Saudi Arabia, Death to America, Death to Israel.

The USA's political dominance is beginning to weaken, so it's wiser to divert attention to a missing aeroplane.

Yes. Russia and China have done an excellent job defocusing attention. Crimea was probably designed as a smokescreen whilst benefitting the Russian armed forces who not only expand control of their Crimean Naval bases but also their Syrian one in Tartus threatened if Assad is overthrown. Brilliant as usual from Putin.
