Richard Dawkins has lashed out at the prominent and highly respected agnostic philosopher Sir Anthony Kenny, of Oxford University. He's also a little too quick to dismiss atheist philosopher (and physicist!) David Albert. Compared to 2006, when The God Delusion was first released, Dawkins appears to have thrown philosophy into the same trash can as theology (despite using it to help sell his book). Why? From the videos I've seen of him, most of his arguments were technically and logically sound. He is just a nasty, and socially retarded person, which is part of the reason why he is so famous/notorious.

I haven't seen anything new to his arguments that hasn't been said before, and in fact I have seen unsound arguments from him more than once. I've seen many philosophers, theists or not, saying Dawkins and the new-atheists haven't brought any new significant ideas to the debate. He is more of a religious hater than anything.
