The primary racial types of South Norway according to Norwegian doctor and anthropologist Carl Oscar Eugen Arbo(1837-1906). Arbo conducted numerous anthroplogical studies on military recruits, he also divided the Norwegian population into 'short skulls and long skulls'.

In it's pure form the viking type. long skulls were tall, blonde and blue eyed, energic, daring, dynamic and imaginative, on the forefront in their planes and the challenges of the feature, they were considered to be the carriers of Nordic culture, The squat and dark shortskulls were more prone to slowness, they were more conservative and old fashioned in their thinking, they handled new or unfamiliar situations badly, they were heavy of thought and action, concerning themselves more to religious pondering than the longskulls, they were also better at poetry and music theory.

Those described as "Mongoloid" have sometimes a somewhat Mongoliform eye shape, but being otherwise not exceptional in any other way.

This "dark" individual was considered a typical Dalofaelid/Cromagnid by many authors and used as a textbook example.

I suppose "dark" in this context primarily means a somewhat darker (brown) hair color and not much else. Brown hair being common among Nordid and Dalofaelid proper.

Racial types of mr.Carl Oscar Eugen Arbo are quite funny:) His mongoloids doesn't look like mongoloids...and his "dark types" are group of many different racial types...from text book Faelid(he pass for Jarls thread about III Reich propaganda) to very weird woman...And what means names like: Vaagetyper, Kventyper? Is this some pleaces in Southern Norway?

Kven is the name for Finns living in Northern Norway, but in this case I think it refers to the Forest Finns who lived in southeast Norway, both examples are from Finnskogen wich lies in Hedmark.
