My mom's surname is Adams. It's believed to be on mainly english origin so I am surprised to see it in the Welsh but not the English list. :p

Mine didn't make the cut though there were a variant of it on the list. Aren't names like Jenkins & Watkins of Flemish origin? I know there were several areas of South Wales that had Flemish colonists during the Middle Ages.

That is a list of the names that are most common in Wales. Not all of them are Welsh, because there are a lot of people in Wales who aren't Welsh apparently.

Yes they are, the large majority of Flemish immigrants settled in Pembrokeshire, west Wales.

Very true. The ones who share backgrounds with anything other than the native stock are only Welsh born and not Welsh.
