You ticked off 14 out of 70 on this bloody lovely list!

Blimey, that’s disappointing! You’re not very English at all — in fact, you’d probably feel more at home in the colonies. No scones for you, I’m afraid.

Bloody brilliant. You’re really ruddy English and don’t you just know it. Bowl a googly. Neck some Earl Grey. Tut at a foreigner. It’s what Churchill would have wanted!

I should bloody well hope so :p
Apparently I don't moan or get drunk enough to score higher. So many I could tick off just from the last week!

I wonder how many were the same :).
So, how do you pronounce 'scone'? Like 'gone' or 'own'? And 'bath' as 'hearth' or 'math'? :p

Only the queen or those who want to sound like the queen, Pronounce scone as scown.

Only the queen pronounces scone as scown.

I've heard quite a few people from northern England who pronounce it 'scown', and they've argued it sounds posher to pronounce it the other way. I agree though, scone as in 'gone' is correct and sounds far less queen-like. The same people also tend to pronounce 'bath' as 'math', which is equally clearly wrong! :p

Oh, and jam should go on before the cream.

The queen is dead, long live YOU. There is no one in England’s green and pleasant land as English as you. You make St. George himself look positively foreign. What’s that? St. George was actually born in Palestine? Don’t be silly. P.S. The queen isn’t really dead.

Jam before cream, of course. I'm a fan of the Cornwall tradition, where a lin layer of butter is put on first, then followed by the layers of jam and cream.

Rather trivial, but I prefer pronouncing it 'scown', precisely because of the reaction you get saying it as such :D
