But that was true. The Romanian occupators had horrible sins in Transnistria against the local Jewish and Slavic population. Mass murders, ethnic cleasing, etc. Yes, the Nazi Germany and the Sovietunion were identical sinful country, but their allies, as Romania, or Hungary did terrible things too. My occupation fores were brutal in Belorussia, they burned villages for example.

The animosity between the two nations begins in the 19 century and goes chronic in the first half of the 20th century, it continued during the communist era. Romania, alongside Poland, was the most anti russian/soviet state inside the communist block ... so yeah there's a history of hate between these 2.

Some ethnic republics elite sometimes represented their peoples (mostly the Caucasians and the Central Asians), but not the Russian origin leaders. They were similar than the contemporary Western leftist elite: traitors. This is the reason why collapsed the Sovietunion. The Communist Party of the Soviet Union desintegradet, because of the difference between the ethnic republic's leaders nationalism and the Russian origin leaders internationalism and when the separatism started, there was no real Russians - peoples with sense of responsibility towards their folk - in leading position so the only theoretically "Russian leaders" allowed to separate the old Russian imperial conquests and settlement areas because of this. They did not represent the Russian interests, so they were not Russians, only Russian origins.

Romania is just an instrument that is used in this video, it could've been any more or less poor country in E. Europe that has joined the EU, propaganda in this video is not aimed at Romania, but at E.U., about how bad for E. European countries to join it.
