I've tested not only my mother, but her sister, and her brother. Got the haplogroup from her brother, he is R1b1b2a1a and that means this grandfather was also.

True that my mother and her siblings have some of their dad's heritage, but it is jumbled up with their mother's as well.

Three siblings tested and Ancestry Composition didn't pick up any Non Euro heritage in either of them, and on specualtive mode it's virtually all Northern Euro too

That doesn't say anything about his maternal ancestry though. I know his father was German because I have traced it back to the 1600's.
