Octoroon. I would not have said so based on the last few photos, but in the first one it is obvious she is mixed.

Yes. First photo she looks blatantly non-Euro. In fact I expected mulatta based on it, and was shocked the other photos looked near white.

Atlanto-Med + Alpine. What is "Brazilian descent" by the way?

"Brazilian" is not an ethnicity. I don't belong to the same ethnicity as Gisele Bündchen, Pelé or Hugo Hoyama just because we were born in the same country.

The vast bulk of Brazilians are a mix of West African and colonial Portuguese descent, but let us not digress please.

About half of Brazil is white, while the other half is blacks, mulattos, and quadroons mostly, with Amerindian throughout the mixed group.

the vast majority of Brazilians are of colonial ancestry just that, and most black Brazilians are of origin of "central africa", the largest ethnic group in colonial Brazil are "white" not "mulatto".

I can't see that at all. She looks fully European to me.

Whites were always a minority in colonial Brazil. Blacks were always a majority

1872 is not Colonial Brazil. Brazil became independent in 1822.

And no, Bahia did not receive half of slaves who came to Brazil. It received only 25%. http://www.arca.fiocruz.br/xmlui/bitstream/handle/icict/4306/Taisa%20Manuela%20Bonfim%20Machado.%20Ancestralida de%20em%20Salvador%20-%20BA.pdf?sequence=1

Destrinations of African slaves in Brazil:

1) Rio de Janeiro (38%)
2)Bahia (25%)
3)Pernambuco (12%)
4)São Paulo (12%)
5)Maranhão (7%)
6)Pará (5%)

And remember that many of the slaves that came to Rio and Bahia were latter taken to the gold mining regions of the interior, and São Paulo received many slaves from the Northeast in the 19th century. So the impact of slavery in São Paulo was much larger than you claim was

With all due respect, could we please stick to classifying Ms Charles, as fascinating as this incipient discussion is?
