On several of these calculators, my uncle keeps showing up at around 4% (North)East African. Being a new worlder, there is of course the possibility of African ancestry. But as far as I know, though, no slaves from Ethiopia and the surrounding area were ever brought to the United States so if he is part African it's unlikely to be Northeast African as many calculators suggest.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that some of the calculators confuse small levels of West African and West Asian for (North) East African. Is this true? He gets no West Asian on Eurogenes, which, looking at the population averages for his ethnicity looks unlikely. Can I assume then that both his West African and West Asian components have erroneously been combined and assigned to the Northeast African category?

Could 4% Northeast African = 2% West Asian + 2%West African?
