They fit anywhere from Sicily to Syria.

They range from looking Central italian to Turkish and Levant(A lot of them look Ashkenazi and other Levantrine in certain extent).

They're from Vittoria, not Ragusa. I know because I found them in the first place.

Vittoria is in Ragusa province.

Oh OK. Anyway, they are a pretty East Med-looking bunch.

That area of the island was heavily colonized by Greeks, but comparing them to the Greek football players in the other thread, I notice these have pointier noses, more of a "Jewish" look, less Alpinization, and rounder eyes, compared to the Greeks in the other thread looking Turkish or even in a few instances, flat out Mongoloid admixed.

My father said the same thing when he went to Israel (that the people there looked Sicilian).

Sicilians have much greater overlap phenotypically and genetically to Askhenazis than to the Lebanese, so its not surprising at all.

Because they are made up of the same components. If you mixed Lebanese with some kind of Southern European and a bit of Germanic, and let it stabilize for generations, you'd end up with something similar too.

Mostly southern Europe and some pas as Levantine. overall I say, mainly Italy and Balkans like Greek mainland/islands also Bulgaria and some others after Bulgaria.
