From next month seriously overweight flyers will be asked to pay for two seats, or not be allowed on board for “safety reasons”, the airline announced yesterday.

“People who arrive at the check-in desk and are deemed too large to fit into a single seat will be asked to pay for and use a second seat,” said Monique Matze, an Air France spokesman.

“They will be charged 75 per cent of the cost of the second seat, which is the full price excluding tax and surcharges, on top of the full price for the first.
“The decision has been made for safety reasons. We have to make sure that the backrest can move freely up and down and that all passengers are securely fastened with a seatbelt.”

She added: “People who cannot fit into a single seat will then be fastened by slotting the belt tip of one seat into the plug of the next, stretching over both seats.
“However the charge will only apply on flights that are full booked. They will get their money back on flights where spaces are available.”
Two years ago Air France (http://www.airfrance.com/indexCOM.html) was ordered to pay £5,000 in damages to a 27-stone passenger who had his stomach measured at an airport check-in desk before being told to buy two seats.

British Airways (http://www.britishairways.com/travel/globalgateway.jsp/global/public/en_) has no weight limits for passengers, but advises overweight people to buy a second seat for their own comfort and safety if necessary.

Last year a picture, posted the aviation news website, Flightglobal, (http://go.telegraph.co.uk/?id=296X683&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.flightglobal.com%2Fblogs%2Fun usual-attitude%2F2009%2F11%2Fpassenger-creates-big-debate-a.html)reignited the debate about obese passengers on aeroplanes.

They should just put fat people in the cargo hold. They could be kept company by people who like to play their shitty music loud on their personal music thingy and black people. I've yet to last a flight sitting near a black person without wanting to rip their tongue out to stop that incessant 'tutting' noise they make.

Alright, if that isn't readable this is what I tried to say. I bet my conjugation is messed up. :D

"Can I(or rather may I) speak French or English? I speak a little French and understand and read a little more, but not very well.

Edit: I think maybe if I talk in the French forums my written french and sentence formation can get better, as I can read most of the articles. So I'll try to be active in them and post my opinion in french of course. :D

Voici tout ce qu'il faut:

Dictionnaires et traducteurs automatiques (http://www.lexilogos.com/anglais_langue_dictionnaires.htm)

Claviers (http://www.lexilogos.com/clavier/multilingue.htm)

Traducteur Google (http://translate.google.com/?hl=en#en|fr|)

Yes, that bugs me as well.

The Victoria Line is particularly bad for that.

TBH, I think that they should all be rounded up in Lambeth and given free machetes and crack cocaine. xxx

Am I allowed to say that? :D
